For women, it’s a good idea to call in a hair and make-up artist for a natural beauty makeover. Beauty enhancement means beautiful, natural skin, strong eyes and good hair flow. DPMN works with a number of professional make-up and hair stylists specialized in fashion. For men, it’s not necessarily necessary to call in a hair and make-up artist. Photo shoots can be done outdoors, indoors or in the studio, depending on the person and the weather. Neutral backgrounds are preferable, as you are the focus of the photo, not the backdrop. At the end of the session, you’ll have a wide selection of photos from which to choose the ones you’d like retouched for your modeling portfolio. There’s only one way to find out if it’s right for you: do your first photo shoot. Contact DPMN to find out more.
In the fashion and advertising industries, your portfolio serves as your calling card to bookers and casting directors. Recruiters review dozens of portfolios every day: only the most professional portfolios will stand out from the crowd, thanks to natural-looking images that showcase your best qualities.
We create natural, elegant and timeless portraits that adhere to industry standards whilst highlighting what makes you unique. Each session is tailored to your best features: the intensity of your gaze, the harmony of your silhouette, and the fluidity of your movements. DPMN uses precise lighting to sculpt your features and create an atmosphere that reflects your identity.
A good portfolio must demonstrate your versatility to professionals who are used to spotting potential at a glance. We structure each session to capture a variety of shots (close-ups, full-length shots, dynamic poses, etc.) that showcase your ease and adaptability.
Our work has been published in titles such as ELLE Belgique and Marie-Claire, and we have produced various campaigns for La Redoute, Inno and Planet Parfum. This experience enables us to understand the specific requirements of each field: modeling, commercial, editorial and catwalk. We therefore alternate between different atmospheres and energies to show bookers the full extent of your potential.
Every professional has unique needs. We tailor our services to provide you with a solution that suits your requirements, whether you’re creating a portfolio or updating your existing one.
The studio offers complete control over the lighting. We favour minimalist settings that focus all attention on you.
To create a comprehensive and varied portfolio, it is essential to alternate between shots taken in natural light and in the studio. Daylight lends a sense of spontaneity and authenticity, whilst studio lighting allows you to create a more controlled and composed atmosphere. This variety of styles showcases your profile across different settings.
We are fully versed in the standards of international agencies: composition, controlled lighting and seamless retouching. At the end of the session, you’ll leave with a carefully curated selection of ready-to-use files.

Not sure if modeling is right for you?
We’ll tell you honestly if a professional shoot makes sense for your profile.
Have you always dreamed of becoming a photo model? Do you have personality and style, and are you comfortable in front of a camera? Then why not try your luck? But be warned, becoming a model is no easy task. It’s a demanding profession that requires talent, determination, perseverance and patience. If you want to succeed in this profession, here are a few tips to help you get there.
Before you embark on the adventure of fashion and advertising, it’s important to ask yourself the right questions and find out whether you have what it takes to become a model. Physical criteria are important, but they’re not the only ones. You also need to have a distinctive look, a confident attitude and natural elegance.
Once you’ve assessed your chances, it’s time to put yourself forward. For this, it’s imperative to take professional photos that show off your figure, face and personality. Make sure that the photos meet the requirements of the modeling agencies, that the light is fresh and harmonious, and that you look natural and comfortable. It’s these photos that will land you castings and get you noticed by agents and modeling agencies.
It’s time to find a modeling agency that meets your needs and expectations. There are several ways of doing this: online or by asking friends and acquaintances who work in this field. Once you’ve found an agency you like, send them your portfolio and wait for their reply. If the agency is interested, they’ll contact you for a casting session.
DPMN photographer Julien De Wilde’s fashion and beauty photos have been published in the following magazines and for the following brands: ELLE Belgique, ELLE Thaïlande, Marie-Claire Belgique, Marie-Claire Thaïlande, Last Daze, Feeling, Gaël, Flair, Libelle, Femme d’aujourdhui, La Redoute, Sensa, Twice as Nice, Inno, Planet Parfum, Ici Paris XL.
The number of photos delivered after a portfolio shoot depends on several factors, including the actual duration of the shoot and your specific professional goals. For a standard shoot lasting approximately two to three hours, we provide an online gallery containing between 50 and 100 pre-selected photos. From this gallery, we work with you to select 20 final photos to be retouched to perfection in HD. This selection offers sufficient variety in poses, expressions and framing to create a comprehensive portfolio tailored to agencies’ expectations.
Our selection process is rigorous. Every image delivered undergoes professional retouching to ensure a flawless finish. If you require a larger volume for specific markets (agencies, casting, campaigns), DPMN can tailor its offer to suit your needs and budget.
The choice of outfits for your modeling shoot depends first and foremost on the strategic direction of your portfolio and your target market. We strongly recommend planning several contrasting outfit options that reflect different aesthetic styles and demonstrate your commercial versatility. Opt for timeless, minimalist pieces, as well as a few more distinctive outfits that showcase your ability to pull off different styles.
Bring neutral basics that always look impeccable in photos: well-cut raw denim jeans, a premium-quality white T-shirt, a simple black dress, and a classic white shirt. Then complement these with more distinctive pieces to suit your profile. Also consider any personal accessories you’d like to wear. Before the shoot, we’ll discuss your options with you to refine your wardrobe choices based on your specific professional goals and guide you towards the most strategically relevant choices for your portfolio.
